The UW Soil Testing Laboratories are operated through the Department of Soil Science in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in conjunction with UW Extension.
One of the keys functions of the labs is to provide analytical services for University of Wisconsin System researchers. Research faculty can submit samples for analysis by the labs using state of the art instrumentation and methodologies. Many types of sample materials can be accommodated and procedures can be developed or modified as needed to meet the needs of the research needs of UW faculty and staff. The labs also serve as a training ground for UW-Madison as well as other UW System students to learn laboratory techniques and skills.
Most analytical services are offered to UW System faculty and research staff at reduced rates. Please refer to these research fees (UW NetID required) for additional information.
